We are taking a truck and trailer to St. Louis this year, and would like to leave it parked near the event. Did anyone do this last year? Any suggestions?
I just got off the phone 5 minutes ago talking to Steele about that.
If you go to http://www.firstchampionshiphousing.com/ and hover over the 'championship' there will be a drop down with a link to parking.
Click on that item and it will give you a map with a list of parking lot vendors down below. The said to call the lots and see what you can do.

I spoke to some teams that went last year and they said there was a lot right next door that teams were using and thats what they did.
We are doing the same thing. I haven't had the change to investigate any further as to which lot/vendor it could have been.
There is a very large lot across the street to the north of the venue with ample parking for team trailers. We had no trouble finding a fine spot there last year.
do you get to drop the trailer ?
do you get to park the truck/trailer there for the duration ?

We parked ours in our hotel parking lot. It was less expensive(free at our hotel). But, we stayed out of the city, so that may not work for you. Hope we make it there!
How did you like staying out of the city ?
One of our options is to stay a ways out of town and commute in !

As I recall it was free for attending teams. We did not choose to drop the trailer or leave it overnight, but I believe some did.

We stayed by the airport last year--since teams around here only ever go to Championship if they qualify, they invariably register late. Losing an hour of sleep to commuting can be a little rough, since we invariably get shorted on sleep at events anyway. How much value you put on that is up to you.
There was specially arranged at a "reduced cost" parking for trailers near the venue last year. Since I wasn't towing it and didn't pay the bill I can't remember how much it was. Look for info on the FIRST website as CMP gets closer.

One of our options is to stay a ways out of town and commute in ! Loved it! We were in Collinsville I think it was. Very easy commute with a charter bus. If we make it to world's, we will be staying there again. If not, there will be a lot of rooms available there..haha...

We stayed out by Fenton last year. I don't remember the traffic ever being too terrible, especially for St. Louis.
