I just thought it was interesting (& cool) that one of the sponsor-level perks is an opportunity to guest MC a match at the Championship or a Regional.
Another is to pitch a game idea to the GDC.
How about guest blogging on Bill's Blog?

Who are the 500k+ Sponsors? I wonder if anyone pitched any ideas this year.

This makes me wonder if they stopped looking at these forums for game ideas.

well now we know how the Kinect got involved in this years game. I think Microsoft kinda bullied First into using the Kinect. Its not that using the Kinect in hybrid mode is a bad idea, its just this years game wasnt meant for it...

So they already know what next years game is, I bet they are just collecting everything for the KOP

While I think "bullied" is a harsh word, I do think Microsoft did have a role in pushing the use of the Kinect in this year's (and next year's) game. Like you said: Bad that it's part of the game? No. A good method of control for an FRC game? Give me 2 more weeks in the build season and I'll think about it.

Step 1: Donate 500,000 dollars.
Step 2: Set a bucket of water on the GDC's desk and tell them it's their next game.
There is no Step 3.

This thread has given me a good idea for championships that could involve the CD community. Look for a potential thread next week.........

2,000 CD Folk raise 100 dollars each to send a representative to pitch a game involving water and inflatable clowns!?!

The question is who would we nominate to mc a match? Maybe Umbrella Man Barry Bohnzack or maybe fish boy...

Is this only for monetary donations? Or do material donations count as well?

Because I don't know what else FIRST would do with $500,000 worth of bumble balls...
