Hey all, Rookie team 4265 headed to St. Louis after being Rookie All Stars at the Smoky Mountain Regional. We've got more questions of course.
1) tables. We have our own workbench and everything, but we're hung up on PIT design. Will the even in St. Louis provide a table for us? and what size would it be?
2) How soon can we expect the crate to be removed from the pit?
thanks,
Snowbird

Someone feel free to correct me, but here it goes.
(1) The pit setups are nearly identical to those at regionals. As far as the exact dimensions of the tables are concerned, I don't have the foggiest.
(2) IIRC, the crates are removed pretty quickly. The shipping company usually has people out on the floors during uncrating. If you uncrate first thing on Wednesday, it'll be gone fairly quickly.
If this is an issue, I've seen people move their crates off to the sides up against the walls just to get it out of their way, and the shipping company usually goes about removing it from there.

I believe this information is true, but I would just to add a bit. Considering there are four fields at Championships, there will be a LOT of pits. All of the pits are separated into sections based on their specific field (Curie teams will be in their own cluster, same with Galileo, etc). Each cluster I believe is organized in a similar fashion to that of a regional. The size of the pit should be roughly the same as well.

Assuming that your regional is sorted by number, instead of rookies next to veterans on both sides, this is true. However, most regionals place rookies next to or between two veterans. At Championship, each division has a "rookie row" where all the rookies are--at least, that's how it was every time I attended.

Last year the tables were about 7 feet long and 2.5 feet wide. Assume they'll be about that size this year too.
The crate will disappear pretty fast, once you mark it empty. They want them out of there ASAP.

Yes, I believe the pits at the Championship are always in number order.
