Greetings!
I'm trying to use the ZomB dashboard to show the camera, a couple of text fields and 3 "LED" indicators. The camera works great (unlike smart dashboard where I could never get it to connect to the camera). But, at a 1 Hz update rate, ZomB is missing quite a few updates. I'm running on a Quad-core I7 with 8GBs of RAM. There shouldn't be any issues with not getting enough CPU cycles. But, still ZomB is missing a significant number of updates. Now, this is a 64-bit platform running Windows 7. The version of ZomB is 0.9.1.501. Does this behavior ring a bell for anyone?
TIA,
Mike

the data rate? or the camera rate?
Something is obviously wrong either way, as we got much better than that on our old pentium M laptop. Open up task manager and watch cpu/memory and network. Also watch cRIO CPU and memory in the Driver Station. Report back findings and I'll attempt to decypher it....

OK, I've got ZomB on the actual laptop for our driver station now. However, when I run it, I get a series of error message pop ups about a connection refused at the cRio on port 1735. Is there some additional code that I need to deply to the cRio to make zomB work?
TIA,
Mike

latest cRIO image, WindRiver update, Tools update and code that uses smartDashboard object should be all you need, make sure you are running the latest ZomB also

Hmm... I did all of those. I had 3 BSODs running the ZomB dashboard. So, I punted.
I also spoke to Brad Miller from WPI about all of the camera connection problems that I and others were seeing on the Smart dashboard. Rumor has it that Smart Dashboard and it's communications protocol is being reworked to address those issues. Hopefully, by next season, most of the issues with ZomB and/or Smart Dashboard will be addressed and we'll start the process of learning these tools all over again with newer implementations.
