Normally when people say call the Bomb Squad, someone calls 911 and a robot defuses a bomb.
When FIRST Calls Bomb Squad a 10 year old with a couple wrenches and the number 16 on his shoulder comes running.
student 1 (s1):"Hey guys, I got some bad news... the battery we just used is the one the mentors told us to throw away because it will explode when it looses power while warm."
*random spectator yells out "bomb squad get over here"*
s2: like that will do anything...
*kid in bomb squad shirt walks up*
kid: oooooooohhhhhhhhh fun!!!
s1: you the bomb squad?
kid: bomb squad? what is that?
s2: *stares* you have a shirt that says bomb squad on.
kid: oh, that. I guess.
s1: ok. (tells other students to clear the area). the battery will explode if put into an unpowered state while warm, and it's warm.
kid: ok. (unplugs it) all good, now tell me how this thing works.

1625: Someone has put something very sticky under the robot
Bomb Squad: I found it here and now I'm stuck!
John: What do you mean? -- there's nothing under here! -- Oh, now I'm stuck too!
Last year we used advice from an FTC guy, so this year we've called in an FLL expert to help with the drive train. We won't be using the Lego plastic gears, but this guy has gearing ratios down solid.

Hey,
When you design the robot so that only little fingers can get in to work on it, someone has to find little fingers. We are just darn lucky I found this guy and he has been trained by the best. Let this be a reminder for next year. JT is growing up fast and he won't be able to do this for us again next year.
