I have posted my photos from FIRST Nationals 2012 at:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/danielernst/sets/72157629610382458/
I tried to take some photos of all Michigan teams. There was a lot of ground to cover for one person, so sorry in advance if I didn't get your team.
Enjoy!

It's been 12 years since it's been called Nationals

Old habits die hard. I still hear Nationals come out of my mouth on occasion, and Atlanta quite frequently. When you start calling it Nationals, it is hard to change. :)
But the point of the thread is Dan's awesome pictures and once again, he has done a great job of capturing special memories! :) So, regardless of what he calls it... his pictures are very much appreciated!! :)

Great photos. What lens did you use for most of your shots. Some looke like a sharp wide angle or wide angle attachment or a very good lens with a great field of depth.
Again good stuff.

Dan's pictures are inspirations by themselves. Usually you might think "how am I gonna get thru 200 pictures?" With Dan it's more like "Only 200? Where are the rest?" and
He gets such great integration of the stream to have robots and drive teams next to each other.
Thanks, Dan.
Great pictures! I don't have to wait for our photographer to give me pictures now :D

Maybe when 1114/2056 wins, people will stop calling it nationals.
Or it might just be very awkward when someone congratulates a Canadian team on winning "nationals".

Nationals?
You're correct. That's a provincial point of view.
I stand corrected:

Thanks.
I used the following lenses at this event (with no attachments):
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM

1114 won chmps in 2008.
296 won chmps in 2006.

Thanks so much for the pictures. This is one of those things that teams rarely have the time (or expertise) to do themselves. The picture of our robot with the underglow turned on is beautiful!
