Woodie Flowers is featured on the MIT web site today. There is a link that reviews a course given at MIT called 2.007 and its older version 2.70. It is basically the blueprint for FIRST.

I like the mid 1970's pictures of Woodie.

This is great! I never thought I would see another program so similar to FIRST

My favorite video / movie about the 2.70 class / contest is the "Discover" special on the class from the Fall of 1984. This show can be seen on youtube: "The Harvest" - MIT's 2.70 Contest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDnSFQ4YZLc).

PS: Some of you might recognize some of the students featured in the video as people now involved in FIRST...

Watching videos of the 1992 competition was a big part of what inspired me to go into engineering. It was great.
