View Full Version : Please help a rookie team - got a spare digital sidecar?

I am writing on behalf of Cobrotics, rookie FRC team 3945 from Nashville, TN. We are in need of a loaner digital sidecar to enable us to hold robot demonstrations and raise funds to allow us to purchase a replacement. Our sidecar was smoked during practice at Queen City, we were able to use a loaner for the duration of the competition but we had to return it. If any team would be willing to lend us one for our off season demos, we would greatly appreciate it. We will return the unit following the summer, please let me know if any teams are able to help or have advice on where to find a cheap one!

I'm assuming by your act of asking that you have found the issue that caused your original to malfunction and have made sure it won't happen again.

If my team was closer, i would ask em.

Yep, had a short in one of the connections which we resolved... I promise the sidecar will work when returned...

Thanks for all of the offers to help, but Allen and FRC team 3897 have graciously offered to loan us a Lonestar Sidecar. This is the awesome side of FIRST, how teams jump in to help others in need. Thanks also for the schematic, we will see if we can resurrect our sidecar during the off season! Best off luck to all over the off season!

We can offer you one if you need for the long term. Seeing that we have 4 new in their static bags (because we never use the new one unless the old one is broken), we have a nice supply. If you guys don't want to buy one, PM me and we may be able to work something out ;)
