I am not positive about this, but I just saw a seller on EBay that seems to have a bunch of NEW Gellcells that look to be just like the battery used on this this year's robot.

I am not positive about it, but it kind of 'looks' and feels like the right size to me. (I don't remember the measurements or Amp-Hour rating of the FIRST supplied unit)

Yes, I know, this bettery would not be able to be used in the competition....but it might be nice to have a spare or two around for practice/demo meets.

Anyways, you tell me if this battery is the same.

You can see (and bid on it) at:

Enjoy,

We have been able to purchase spare batteries in the past at electronics swap meets for $10-15.

The ones we have purchased are not exactly like the ones this year but are functionaly identical to the ones this year.

I believe that the batteries this year are 17.2 Ah
