We are so excited about Panther Prowl being right in our backyard! Team 1592 The Bionic Tigers want to welcome everyone to Brevard County. Since this event is not an overnight event, we decided to host a lock-in on Friday night! We know how hard it is to fund staying in hotel, so for the teams that may be traveling some distance (and for those who are not!), we have secured the gymnasium at one of our schools for a lock-in. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy was gracious enough to allow us to use their school and they are only about 1 mile away from FIT! We don't have all the details worked out yet as we just found out yesterday that we could do it, but stayed tuned for more details!

Figured I would update this for those as excited for the event as I am as of right now there are 12 teams registered of the 30 they would like:

79: Team KRUNCH
233: The PINK Team
744: Shark Attack
801: Horsepower
1251: TechTiger Robotics
1523: Mega Awesome Robotics Systems
1592: Bionic Tigers
1649: E.M.S.
1875: Purple Haze
1902: Exploding Bacon
2757: Built And Dangerous
2916: Bionic Bears

I am kind of surprised that no rookies are registered nor that certain teams that were registered for TNT which was $300 aren't registered for this and the Powwow ($300). Anyone from 59, 179, or 2383 know why they haven't registered yet?

I'm sure 179 will be there, once everyone gets back in town next week I'll figure out why were not registered yet. Odds are we will not be going to the lock-in since its only a 2 hour drive.

In addition, please welcome #376, Team Voltage from Melbourne.

Hope everyone's getting psyched for the competition! As you may have seen, our live match results/team rankings page is now up and running, and will automatically update throughout the event for our viewers watching at home. If there are other features you want on our website, let us know here on CD and we'll try to add them.

40 days until Panther Prowl!

It says Techtiger Robot 1 and 2

techtiger1
18-09-2012, 13:16
Yes, we are bringing two robots but the second one will be just to test the depth of our team as far as drivers. Not prerookies, as we are not loaning it out to a rookie team at this moment.

As we were packing our equipment we came across a really nice cordless drill that isn't ours. I'm sure it would love to be reunited with it's rightful owner.

If you think it might be yours, PM me with a description (and maybe what was in the chuck when last used) and we'll get it back to you.

I would like to thank all the volunteers for putting together a great event. Thank you.

Just a reminder to the teams that attended. If you are planning to attend Mission Mayhem in South Florida, make sure to sign up as soon as you can.

Hope to see a lot of you there.

That was a great off-season event! Thanks to all the volunteers who made it run so smoothly. Also, a shout out to the Bionic Bears for loaning 4197 a cRio when it looked like the ethernet port on theirs was fried. I also want to thank the various mentors who jumped in with Bryce and me to get them out on the field for some fun. Sorry, can't name all of you but I know 1251, 1592, 801 - anyone else? - all lent a hand. That's what I love about FRC.

Thanks M.A.R.S for picking us in elim's. It was fun to Rumble with you guys. 1251, 1592 and 21...what a great finals!

Eric

PS: see you at Mayhem :)
