Are you from a new rookie team this season?
Only a week left! We're hopefully bringing a whole slew of new kids to see the competition first hand. I can't remember how the spectator seating was, but I hope there is room.

I haven't been to a fall classic with packed seating in years, there should be room.
Granted, there are a few more teams registered than usual. We'll help you out by bringing a really small group of 973ers ;)

If i remember correctly there was plenty of room last year...
Also I have a feeling our group will be even smaller then the 973ers
My team is not going to make it, but Phoenix is most likely going to be there

With drivers?
With drivers?
Plans are pretty fluid at this point, but yes, if it is there, it will have drivers.

Yep. Fall Classic website, scroll down to "Registration", click the link. Currently, 23 teams are signed up. Some of those are planning to bring a second robot.

I'm curious, is 330's second robot the same as the one you competed with at LA and CV? And also, in general for the teams with two robots, are they treated as separate teams (meaning that there are about ~26 robots/teams) or is it more like you go with the one that did better when entering alliance selections?

We've always treated them as independent teams. They each have their own match schedule, and will seed or get drafted separately for eliminations.
Since I'm already posted, we have pictures of most teams attending the fall classic, but are missing the following;
3408
3759
3925
4019
4016
4123
4276
If anyone has them, that'd be great!
What we have is viewable here. (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5l6fwu5afs29hfp/MhU5ekQf__)

Who said anything about 330 bringing a second robot? 973, 3759, and 4470 are the only ones listed as bringing 2 robots.
If a team has a second robot, typically they're treated as a different team. I believe there was a case some time back where a 330A and a 330B went head-to-head in the eliminations. The B robot would get a temporary number of some sort for use in terms of field communication.
OK, you got me. 330 is working on driver practice and making sure that their practice robot is ready to go as well as the competition robot. Whether it's actually there or not, well, we'll see how the repair work goes.
I'll be there for sure. Not quite sure if I'll be hanging with the 330 crowd or be behind the tables working on the field, though.

Thanks for the clarification! And LeRoy Nelson's email yesterday was where I got the idea you guys were bringing a second bot :)
We had an "identical" practice bot (https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/470205_339469649442322_1165040583_o.jpg) during build season but we ended up transferring some improved mechanisms from that to the competition bot before CV...as such, we're sticking with one robot for Saturday.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Somehow the Fall Classic folder is coming up empty for me - Dropbox glitch?
I can get a photo to you of 4019 if you'd like, my brother happens to be on that team.

Yes, it must be. As when I log into dropbox to view them, they are there. When I direct link images, they work as well. When I attempt to pull them into excel through that link, they aren't working.
In the meantime I put them in the IRI folder as well, as that is working.

Huh, it seems to work now. Thanks for this. 4019 pic (https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/404422_350991411599643_1553982186_n.jpg) (might not be completely current)
4070 will be bringing the 3934 and 2493 robots that were last seen at Battle at the Border.

The fall classic was a lot of fun, and I don't think it is hyperbole to say that this was the most competitive ever.

Thank you everyone who attended! Working with 3647 and 3309 was a lot of fun, and the eliminations were definitely intense.
3647 would like to thank everyone for an amazing event.
We had a lot of fun and would like to thank our alliance partners 1538 and 3309 for some amazing work in the finals!
I haven't been to a fall classic with packed seating in years, there should be room.Make that hours now; the bleachers were pretty full and so was the (standing) line on the pit side of the field. :p
And the energy was up there, too. 6 rounds in roughly 6 hours (once the first round was out of the way), with one match or fewer in queue at any given time, kept us on a decent pace and even working through lunch wasn't too bad (I took a quick lunch break and only missed one match or maybe two).
I'd have to say that this was one of the best attended and most exciting Classics I've been to. The last match pretty much came down to "who didn't make a mistake", the alliances were so evenly matched.
First vid up!

The bar was definitely raised in this year's Fall Classic. The elimination matches were hard-fought and thrilling!
The elimination results and awards are attached.
Congrats to the teams who stepped up and put on a great competition!

This being or first Fall Classic and offseason competition, it was so much fun. It was so great to work with 3476 and 1661. Congrats to 8973, 330, and 3512 for winning.
3309 had a blast, this was our first time attending and we'll surely be back year after year! The event was very well run, thanks to the hard work of many.
Thanks 1538 and 3647 for a great alliance, it was fantastic working with you!
I have to ask... does anybody have a picture of the 330/8330 coop balance that they can post? I couldn't get one for a number of reasons. (Including resetting the field.)

I will check. We had a pro photographer shooting most of the day as well as one of our mentors and at least one student.

Nice! Beat me to it! I'll still see if we have anything even jucier :)
This one?
Yep, that one. The fun of having virtually-identical robots at an event, and randomly going against each other...
None of that balance sadly but a few others if you want (http://imgur.com/a/GTj6o) (you probably have plenty though!)
