Good job 111, 47, and 45! I was just wondering... your team is huge... how big is Pontiac Central? What do you do to gain interest from students and determine the team?

Actually our team is kinda small, compared to our teams in past years. We have 23 students, about 20 engineers, and 8 coaches. Our school has about 1200 people. We gain interest by spreading it around the school, such as showing videos of the competition on the morning announcements! We determine the team by a process of application and interviews! Nobody is guranteed a spot on the team! At the beginning of the year they select the FIRST CLUB, and right before the second semester starts they select the team. When second semester starts we have a FIRST class, sixth hour as an elective. If you have anymore questions about how we select our team, don't be affraid to ask.

P.s. We had 84 people try out for the team!

Since we of Team #365 were rookies this year, we took anyone who was interested and that could make the time commitment. I'm curious though, what criteria do you have when you choose your team members via applications and interviews?
If anyone else would like to share their selection process, please do. We are looking for future assistance in this area.
Thanks.
John
