View Full Version : Eclipse IDE with cRio
Hi guys,
The only other programmer on our team (1308) left for college last year without teaching us how to get code onto the cRio. He also took the disc of Wind River, and it isn't on our Lab computer. We saw on a thread that we can Eclipse instead. I write in Eclipse, but I don't know how to upload code from the computer using it. Any help?

Windriver actually is a proprietary offshoot of Eclipse - albeit a rather poor one. I know people have ported the Netbeans plugins over to Eclipse to use with Java but I haven't heard about anyone using vanilla Eclipse with C++. This is the best I could find, and I have no idea whether it's still active or not since the project is over a year old:

Isn't it easier to ask the other programmer to send back the disk than to try building your IDE scratch from Eclipse? Regarding to getting code into the cRio, there is documentation on the FIRST website for that (e.g. http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default/files/uploadedFiles/Robotics_Programs/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2012_Assets/Getting%20Started%20with%20the%202012%20FRC%20Cont rol%20System_2.pdf). And anybody can help out on the forums as well.
