Anybody else been interested in what's inside that 'black box' also known as the Robot Controller? Well, I was wandering the Innovation First web site today, and happened to wander into their 'suppliers' page...take a look at the link below...

I got to see the Innovation FIRST guys trying to fix one at nationals, although it was for a relatively short period of time (I was trying to get something else done and was in a hurry). The main thing that I've noticed is that although supposedly (correct me if I'm wrong) there are three Basic Stamp 2X chips in the Robot Controller I can only see chips in pairs on the board. Of what would definately appear to be the Basic Stamp Chips (the large ones that appear to be on removable mountings, I can't remember what they look like exactly from last years control box), there are only two. Someone want to tell me what I'm missing here?

I don't know for sure about the 2SX chips, but a standard Basic Stamp is actually quite small(from seeing the one that we had in our sound controller), so I'm guessing those large chips on the board are something else...
