Hey guys and gals, Spec here. So lately we've been working on off-season fun like fundraisers and cookouts. We have also been working on a t-shirt launcher which brings our total up to two complete robots and 8 chassis' ready for modification. Kickoff in 11 weeks and we cant wait. Just wanted to check in with the general FIRST populous. Check in and let me know how everyone's off season is going.
Stay cool guys,

What is this "off season" of which you speak? We've got a competition (http://www.thecagematch.com/) next weekend, and we're doing a major refurbishment of our practice robot so we can lend it to a pre-rookie team there.

I'm with Alan here. We went to MRI last weekend to compete, and we have a day-long demo at the science center tomorrow for the annual "Girls in Science" day! One more competition this fall, and several presentations/demonstrations will keep us as busy as we can stand.

Our team is getting ready for Brunswick Eruption 11 which will take place on November 3rd, 2012. So we are just keeping our Rebound Rumble Bot in shape, and making some changes that we should have done during the season.

A thread has already been made on this same subject here (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108737&highlight=100+days)

PRE-season is going well. New recruit training sessions start next week and continue through December. We've got 40 or uninitiated warm bodies that need to be put through the wringer. Thats that come out smiling are FRC-ready.

My team is working on two off-season projects: a trebuchet, and a Vex Sack Attack robot. Our trebuchet is for a local competition, the Tucson Pumpkin Toss at the end of the month. It will hopefully hurl its first pumpkin tomorrow:

We only started the Vex robot today, after receiving a shipment of many new Vex parts from a grant, but we have already mostly designed it and built a beautiful driving chassis. Our team still has most of its fundraising not done, but we are going to work on that very soon.
