Unbeknownst to most of the Firebirds, they saved Earth when the lead invasion squad of pods chose their shop as a base, and were annihilated during relentless hours of build season testing. A few body snatches did , unfortunately, succeed. They escaped, however, using their disguise as team members. Their whereabouts remain a cosmic secret.
