in preparation for next year, our team is coming up with a control board that quickly disconnects from our robot for repairs. our one major snag in this endeavor is a suitable connector.
does anyone have suggestions for a connector that will take the amps and is still a quick disconnect?

We have our control board on a piece of lexan that is connected to our base with hinges so we can pull it out for easy access and fold it in during the matches. Here is the kind of connector we used for the wires:

One wire is the female, the other wire is the male and it makes it really easy to disconnect and reconnect wires.
There aren't really any good pictures of our control board, but this (http://demon.shangrila.org/~krazikamikaze/newrobot/photos/drivetrain.jpg) is probably the best. The lexan is the part with the light sticking out of it and on the other side is all the electronics. All of the wires coming off of the board are grouped into small clumps on each side of our battery so they can be easily disconnected.
Quick disconnect, eh? Amps, eh? You can use the connectors from something such as a defunct printer; that should provide you with enough channels for anything, and if you want you can use multiple pins per channel to use enough wire to feel... um, safe. There's a team that uses this exact setup, though I can't remember which one. But this works!
