Hi Guys,
I just wanted to share with you that DreamHost (large data center host out in California) gives away FREE hosting for LIFE to 501(c)(3) organizations. I've been on this plan for 5 years now and haven't had any major outages and they are pretty fast. They offer UNLIMITED storage and bandwidth which is even pretty awesome along with a sweet cpanel for installing apps and using cloudflare. Here's the link (http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Non-profit) to the page to learn how to sign up.

Feel free to share other hosts out there that offer free non-profit hosting as well for all those teams that are currently paying monthly fees or are using free hosts with ads, this adds a professional feel to their sites.

So if we are a school club, is there no way to utilize this offer unless our team incorporates?

The school likely has non-profit status (or has a non-profit booster club, etc.) that you could probably use to register for the hosting.

If you email/fax them your info and explain your situation, I'm sure they'll try to help you out... Also if you're a student, check this (http://dreamhost.com/edu/) out ($30/year hosting for life w/ same perks!)

I also forgot to say that the FREE hosting also includes a FREE domain name registration for life! I would assume this deal would too.

I will try to contact support and see what kind of deal/special promo code/contact to have teams use to get free hosting, since almost all of us are associated with non-profits, and others being more lenient then others to give out their letter of non-profit status. (Heck, I know our letter was dated like 1960 or 70 something and looked ancient, but it still worked :P)
