FIRST Choice Opening

We’re very excited that FIRST Choice and select PDV’s open for ordering today at noon - check October 25th’s blog (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/blog-10-25-2012) for the original announcement. FIRST Choice password and Voucher codes will be in TIMS for all registered and paid teams at that time.

Special and extra thanks to the team at AndyMark for continuing to host FIRST Choice for free as an in-kind donation to FIRST, no small feat! They continue to be a valuable partner as we grow the FIRST Choice program.

One additional note: Teams will receive 100 credits now and 100 more credits at Kickoff.

The 2013 Kit of Parts website (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2013-kit-of-parts) is now posted and will be updated with more information at Kickoff. You can also see the differences between the Rookie and Veteran Kickoff Kits here: http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2013-rookie-veteran-variation. This will help you make decisions on FIRST Choice and Voucher parts.

FRC Manual Apps

Android, iPhone, and iPad apps for the FRC Manual are now available in their respective apps stores. Check them out, they’re pretty sweet. The official apps for this year are by Enable Education.

FIRST Choice opens up today at noon (teams will receive 100 credits now and 100 more credits at Kickoff), and both iOS and Android apps for the 2013 FRC Manual are now out.

From the KOP standpoint YES! As for the game... I will reserve judgement on that until January 5th!

If you are searching the play store the publisher is "Enable Training and Consulting" and there are two different apps "FRC Mastery" and "FRC Manual."

Exactly where in TIMS will the password show up? Somewhere under the KOP and Kits part or elsewhere?

Probably under Additional Parts but we'll see momentarily!

It was located under additional parts, got our order in. I'm really excited about this upcoming season they really seem to be pulling out all the stops in making things accessible to teams this year.

Once again this year, the FIRST Choice program went smoothly thanks to the great staff at AndyMark. We'll be back to order more goodies once we know what we're designing for this year's game.

The kit of parts really does look outstanding this year. The increased level of choice that we get through PDV's and FIRST Choice is a huge win.

FIRST could ship our team a tote with nothing but a game piece in it, and I'd still say this was the most useful KoP since we got the new control system in 2009.

8. I don't believe the 4-slot is an option for FIRSTChoice right now. Contact NI for info on direct sales.

Has anyone seen anything that lists the time on kickoff when we get the next 100 credits?

I hope they don't start it when everyone is still at their local kickoffs.

Will FIRST Choice be restocked by kickoff? Due to the teams under 1000 not working problem, much coveted items such as batteries were gone before we could get to them.

It's been stated in past threads directly from AndyMark that, per the usual FIRST Choice rules, FIRST Choice will disappointingly not be restocked, save for the game-specific stuff that's being saved, unless this means they will add other things.

In regards to when it opens, I think it'd be safe to assume, based off history, that the additional 100 credits will be added the Monday after kickoff, since that was when FIRST Choice usually opened.

Both FRC website and Andymark state "At Kickoff" on January 5th, with no further clarification. So I do not think it would be Monday.

I only hope it wont be a mystery as to when this product is being posted.
