iR3 Creative is proud to introduce the FlexHub! A modular, interchangeable hub for power transmission that allows you to adjust designs and reuse components where necessary! Whats even better is that the new Modulox kits are being updated to include these gems. You have always wanted modularity, now you can get it. Available now at AndyMark for more info, cad drawings and pictures check out the website: http://www.modulox.com/?page_id=1140

Also check out the video explaining the system: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=JjwnIVMbkVw

Very interesting! I like what you guys have done.

Have you guys considered designing something like this for sprockets? IMHO, that would be more useful to most teams since sprockets tend to need more attention than our gearboxes on the fly.

Seconded. Whip out some aluminum sprockets to fit that system, and you'll have a really interesting product line there.

Very cool!

There have been plenty of times in the past when I wish I had something like this.

Interesting idea... seems like if AM adopted it for their sprockets (or even made a hub that interfaced with it), there would be more of a market. In addition to the smooth bore, it might be useful to have a bearing bore.

We 100% agree. In fact, we have prototypes for sprockets, pulleys, wheels and hubs. We've been debating whether or not we make a production run of sprockets and hubs. So thanks for the feedback, sounds like we've got some work to do!

The primary focus had been an improved gearing solution for the Modulox system. The new standard width gears (.4") would allow for more configurations. The interchangeable hubs allow you to swap which gear is a cluster gear, output or CIM gear.

When combined with some of the other products like the Modulox Channel we believe it gives people an extra edge in prototyping or in refining their competition bots.

We at AndyMark are excited about selling these parts to the FIRST community. These cool pieces are finished being fabbed and plated this week, and they will be announced in our Wednesday newsletter next week.

It's exciting to see what stuff the IR3 guys come up with! Way to go Dan, Andrew and Robby!

Exciting to see indeed! If we ever do find ourselves in a situation where we want to play around with gearing, we'll be sure to take a look at these - but our expectations are much higher for these prototypes you mention :yikes:

I always enjoy IR3's stuff :3
Seems like a product full of potential... I wonder what kind of crazy new custom gearboxes teams will create using this.
Cool name, too!

Ask and you shall receive! We will now be offering sprockets and sprocket hubs beginning the first week of January.

We'll be offering a #25-22 tooth sprocket and a sprocket hub with the traditional 1.875" bolt circle (in this case slot circle...). We'll also looking into the option of #35 hub sprocket as well.

Check out the pictures and look for updates here: http://www.modulox.com/?p=1233

We also put together a quick video of how the hubs are being manufactured. The hubs are all currently manufactured in our Florida based shop.

From AndyMark's News Letter (http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Introducing-the-new-FlexHub-from-iR3.html?soid=1103606398845&aid=p1SDT94kXqI)

The FlexHub's and gears are now available on AndyMark.Com here (http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-flexhub.htm)

As mentioned in the previous post, the FlexHub Flange for the 1.875" mounting pattern and FlexHub Sprocket for #25 Chain are on their way to AndyMark and should be available for purchase soon. In addition to the swap able bore, the Flange can be clocked in various configurations due to utilization of a slot pattern rather than a traditional hole pattern.
