Awesome!!! The number of times I heard Gangnam Style at preseason meetings, this made it all worth it.

Also, how long will it be before we see a FIRST team doing this? Im surprised its this long.

I LOVED the guy in the blue suit (Starting at 1:53 (http://youtu.be/2Sar5WT76kE?t=1m53s)). First rolling his eyes, then joining in :P Wouldn't it be cool to compile video from all the regionals and splice it together for an awesome cut of FIRST Robotics Style (Might have to play with the style name, but it would be cool!) Thoughts?

I'm wondering who will be the first to put together a truly awesome FIRST inspired Gangnam-Style spinoff, either from general footage at regionals like you said, or a personal video by their team. I think I'll suggest it to our media team, maybe we have some undiscovered dance talent in our ranks!

I believe SuperNerd posted a short video of the Funkey Monkey's mascot dancing to it at CalGames. It should be in the CalGames thread.
Just saying, guys, the song becomes less and less awesome and more and more annoying every time I hear it...

I was thinking more of a full-on music video production, in the style of this NASA one.
And yes, I'd tend to agree. However, spacing out listenings in 1-2 week intervals allows the freshness to be maintained.

Don't worry, guys who want FIRST Robotics Style, I'm already working on lyrics. :p
Shared the first lines with my mom (whom I've made almost as obsessed as me when it comes to robotics) and she said it was "sad, but true". :D

Kamen Style?
I was fortunate enough to play a small role in this video. The coops who organized and edited the music and video did an amazing job. While it is goofy, I think they did a great job at trying to reach a different audience in order to spread the good work of NASA. Please, please spread this to your friends and family. The goal is 12 million.
Cheers

Another fun dance that is quite popular is the Interlude (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cuS_31zJ6U) if you're sick of Gangnam Style... Read about the story behind it (http://www.uni.edu/this-is-uni/interlude-dance) if you're interested.

Please, do share.
"Do it Dean Kamen style" or how about just "FIRST Robotics style" ?
Also, how long will it be before we see a FIRST team doing this? Im surprised its this long. Some of the 254 student leaders along with the Shockwave robot participated in a school Gangnam Style parody (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpCgSScWvxQ&t=1m33s).
One of the FLL teams at the event we hosted in DC wrote their own lyrics for FIRST LEGO League Style. No video to go along with it, but it was good work!

To those inquiring, so far the lyrics are mostly about FRC with some "Heyyyyy....it's Dean Kamen!" I'm stuck on ideas so if you have any, let me know!
Can we also have some "heyyyy sexy robot"s?

Love it! Of course. This is going to be great.
galloping robots - try videos that show going over the bump in breakaway or the little ripple in rebound rumble. A little looping fwd-bkwd might get you a dance step substitute. Logomotion arms could be the arm dipping move with similar coaxing from video loops. sexy robots?

Am I the only one who sees 1717's robot and thinks this?

I was just listening to NPR and they are talking about 2012 hits and they mentioned "Call Me Maybe"... and that got me thinking about Libby's parody "Pick me maybe" (video 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ-N_AH987I) & video 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDPh9hI7SmI)) All we need for this is some b-roll & a better audio version.
