kinect installation problems

If you're having issues with it, that sounds more likely to be a driver issue in which case you'd need to uninstall and reinstall the kinect driver.

Though, if you're not doing any kinect development imminently (over the next 2 weeks) I'd say just wait until the new tools are released at kickoff.
