View Full Version : New laptop - cRIO RC software
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm trying to figure out how to get a new laptop to control the robot. I have the laptop set up to program the robot, but am not sure what I need to remotely control it. Is it part of LabVIEW? Is there a way to download it or do we have to wait until we get a new copy this weekend?
Thank you!

It will change on Saturday when the new Driver Station app. is released.
But it's just a matter of installing the 2013 Driver Station from NI (http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2263) (encrypted until 1/5/13) from the Technical Resources (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2013-Technical-Resources) page.
If you wish to use the default Dashboard, then there may be dependencies that require a few packages from the LabVIEW installation stick, but not the whole LabVIEW environment if you don't want it.

You merely need to install the Driver Station software on the computer. It was provided as a separate installer/update last year. The Driver Station software for this year (http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2263) is already available, but it is currently encrypted and we will not receive the key until after Kickoff.
Kew. I figured it would be something simple.
Thank you!
