'Twas the night before kickoff, when all through the shop,
No designs were flowing, not even a drop.
The tools were all hung on the pegboard with care,
In hopes that robots to build would soon be there.

The students were nestled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of challenges danced in their heads.
And dean in his denim, and Dave's hawaiin shirt,
Dave had just finished animating, eyes and brain hurt.

When out on the 2013 field, there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Did my ears just deceive me, or was that a splash?

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Made the game pieces twinkle, as objects below.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a water game, finally here this year!

Alas, this dream may slip away as water will flow through one's fingers.

Great poem!

With water!
H2O of which dreams are made from
We still want to get some,
Playing with water!
This game would be such a big deal
We'd need to use Flex-seal
If they use water, water, water!

I think Jim Zondag did an audio recording of a similar poem last year on EWCP.

Sure, feel free to copy or even tweak the poem however you want, I just came up with it today.

In all reality though, I think this year's game will involve no water, but a triangular game piece (2005 tetra or traffic cones) with stacking involved and lifting something heavy for the end game (trackball sized ball for capping stack, or a robot). A mesh of the 2004 and 2005 games essentially.

We are having a team banquet right now... I am going to read it out loud as... STORY TIME!!!!! Thanks for the poem :)
