I can't tell if this is my ISP or Intel but my 6.3GB Classmate download has stopped around 1.9GB 3 times. I noticed it is right at 60 minutes each time :ahh: . Anyone else having this problem? Trying to decide which service is killing the connection.

My download is currently at the 2.5GB point and is still going.

I was able to get it all, but it took many hours on my slow DSL connection. Its probably an issue with your ISP.

It could be anything from your browser to your router, but look around on your computer at the browser end to see if anything's configured to close an open connection after 60 minutes.

@slijin-short of that (you may be right but i don't have time to poke around the routers and tcpip stacks-and I have pretty well crawled all over my browser and router in the past and know of no settings like that) as a temporary solution I've been pausing the download every 45 min. and then resuming it. Seems to be working 4.0/6.3GB so far. :]

Mine finished about 2 hours ago. I'm only telling you now because I walked away in the middle. (Even with my 30 Mbps connection, it was still too long to just sit there. ;))

Now it's time to burn a DVD to take to kickoff tomorrow. My goal is to hit the ground running faster than we have in the past. :D

Finally! took 4.5 hours over a 10Mb connection. Started at 1000KB/s and ended at 200KB/s for an average of 3.12Mb. Would have been done in 1.75 hours this afternoon if the connection wasn't bogged down.

Even with my 30 Mbps connection

:( 1.5 Mbps DSL, reporting...

Luckily, I was able to download it from my school, were I managed 6 MBps (24x faster).

I used the DownThemAll Firefox extension because it's extremely good about not locking up and, if it does, not corrupting. Took a bit less than an hour.

I did run into a 4GB limit on the first machine I tried it on, because of an old file system.
And automatic OS patches disrupted another download.
And the Intel site exceeded it's service provider bandwidth limitation.
