Greetings CD,
One of our Seniors has been working very hard on a special project for FIRST Team 1086: Blue Cheese. We finally got the prototype completed tonight. I am very proud of what he has accomplished. I hope Alex or Electronica1, as he is known in ChiefDelphi, will answer any technical questions you may have. He will be posting our progress on this project at regular intervals.

It is pretty cool, in all seriousness.

I would personally be rather worried about that chain coming loose under load. I'd test that in some serious shoving matches before running with it in competition. I assume you're going to be optimizing the piston length to get the correct tension with the wheel down. I'd also look into arranging things so the tension on the chain has very little or negative leverage against your piston. That is, try to work things out so that pulling on the chain makes the wheel lock down, not pull up.

Chains not an issue.
