Hey everyone

we were updating the firmware in a jaguar that we have and it was not accepting the updates for a while and then all of the sudden it just stopped working.

Now we cannot even have the light on the jaguar light up.
is it fried or have we just done something.
We tried to reset the jaguar to factory settings after that and it still would not work.

Suggestions?

what methods have you tried interfacing with it on?

EDIT: Looked at the datasheet and in no case does it have "LED Off", so Im not sure what going on.

the light on the jaguar itself is not on.
We have tried multiple things including through the 2 can internet ip address

Does it show up on the 2CAN at all? Just to clarify this is a black jag correct?

In BDC-COMM, there is a firmware recovery option. I don't know if the 2CAN implements the same interface.

No it does not show up on 2 can at all, and yes it is a black jaguar.

I've never heard of BDC-COMM. What is it?

Let's back up. Did you power it backwards? (That's the easiest way to fry a Jaguar.)

I think the term would be "bricked" at least that is what I am familiar with to describe his problem. The Jaguar failed durng a firmware update possibly leaving it with no firmware at all to run.
