This year we are at long last allowed to use solenoid linear actuators. However, are we allowed to power them via the Solenoid breakout?

See R52, in the Table 4-4 Legal Power Regulating Device Use.
Electric solenoids can be powered by either a Spike or the solenoid breakout.

Just be careful of overloading the solenoid breakout

Outputs from each Solenoid Breakout shall not cumulatively exceed 16W for the cRIO-FRC (8-slot) and 21W for the
cRIO-FRC II (4-slot).
