How was the frame put together?

It used the Press Fit Framing system from McMaster
Tubes are P/N 47045T48
Connectors are P/N 47045T81 - 47045T86

Another reason our team didn't choose to climb to 30. The sacrifice of the frame was worth it to prove the damage.

I would be interested to see results with a bolted/rivited/welded/sheetmetal frame. As most teams won't be using the system you mentioned, these tests are of limited utility to the community.

Like everyone else said, don't fall.

weighted in down to 155lbs. Lifted it to 7.5ft off the ground...

what did it do to the floor?

Our big thick concrete floor survived with little more than a scuff where the robot impacted.

We use a similar connector from a different vendor, I wonder what it would have looked like had the connectors been pinned to the extrusion instead of just pressed in.

Some of the connectors appear to have sheared in the other picture, so it doesn't seem like press fitting vs screw/pin fitting would make a difference.
