I am not exactly sure how to get our axis camera image to show up on dashboard.
The camera works fine when you view the ip like this (http://i.imgur.com/3J5oO9T.png) in chrome. It also shows up with the current mbps and and fps. It also displays this line on occasion.
\>>>>ERROR: S_errno_EINPROGRESS (0x00000044): Failed to connect to the camera ...in CreateCameraSocket() in C:/WindRiver/workspace/WPILib/Vision/AxisCameraParams.cpp at line 457
I'm currently only using AxisCamera camera = .getInstance(); at the beginning of my code. Please help.

Take a look at this page in the documentation. It describes how to view the Axis camera on the SmartDashboard.

We appear to be having the same problem; we followed the steps to set up the SmartDashboard, and it only says 'NO CONNECTION'. Our camera doesn't work with the ordinary dashboard either (although there, it does show the FPS as if it were actually doing something). We've made sure that it's at the correct IP address, configured for anonymous viewing, etc, and it does work viewing in browser. We also get the same error message as seen above; the .cpp file it references does not appear to exist in our system anywhere. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated; if there is any sort of log file or configuration settings, etcetera that it would help to post, please let us know.

I know this is of no help whatsoever but we are having the same exact problem as well. SAME EXACT

We appear to have solved our problem by reimaging the Classmate with this year's image. Hope that this works for others.

P.S: Reimaging requires activating Windows, which there's no mention of on usfirst.org this year; if you, like us, don't have an internet connection on the Classmate, you can do it via phone.

Best of luck,

We experienced a similar problem. The fix we found was to do a complete uninstall of the driverstation software and completely re-install this year's software from the disk issued to you. Also, make sure when you are done you click the enable button under the white box where the camera goes. We found this fix in some obscure document on the USFirst / WPI documentation website telling us the uninstall was optional.

Note: This does not require a complete re-image, just a re-install of software, so hopefully this will save you some time.

Good Luck!
