As always, the deadline is nominally Saturday at midnight Eastern.
Go!
The team was disappointed with this year's "mentor built" robot.
Wayne Doenges

Mentor: "I picked a bad time to let my guard down around the robot. My nose!"
Middle Student: "I picked a bad time not to have my safety glasses on correctly. My Eye!"
Left Student: "I picked a bad time to get my picture taken with my safety glasses on my head. My reputation!"
Things instantly got better when Team Roboto switched from Coke and Sprite to Mountain Dew.
447 - Team Roboto - Anderson, IN
2005 Boilermaker Regional - RadioShack Innovation in Control Award
2005 NASA / VCU Regional - Regional Finalists, Xerox Creativity Award
2005 The Championship Event - Championship Division Finalists - Galileo, RadioShack Innovation in Control Award
Now that there's a Nestle plant in nearby Pendleton, there's no telling what FRC447 may accomplish.

The looks of horror and disappointment after 447's robot fell off their practice pyramid. This could have all been avoided had they remembered to properly wear their safety glasses.
Kid on left: You know you forgot the second CIM motor
Mentor: ..........
Kid in middle: *facepalm*

Little guy: Eww, what's that thing in his nose?
If it wasn't the robot that hit him in the nose...
These guys can't understand why their KOP drivetrain isn't working right. It's taken them a full year to build it--and it still doesn't work!
And then, shortly after this picture was taken... "Welcome to the 2005 game, Triple Play!"

The team put their blood, sweat and tears into their robot.
Well, their blood, anyway...

Didn't you read the rules? There is a new rule this year. You have to wear nose protection too... Those frisbees hurt.

Trends that never quite made it:
There's arm candy and eye candy....but nose candy never caught on

One week before Stop Build Day. There is no way this can end well. :ahh:
Inspired by the situation my team seems to be approaching. Here's hoping we can pull it off!

Someone from team 447 took the old gag line "Up your nose with a rubber hose" a bit too seriously.

Student to Mentor: Just don't blow - you'll poke my eye out.
Safety Captain: Maybe we should have some safety training before and during build instead of just having flyers at our pit. Hm...

"I only smell half a robot"
"I only see half a robot"
"I am not going to taste half a robot"

What can possibly go wrong? We have a drivetrain built, only one injury, and its the end of week one. (Que resultant dirty look and facepalm.)
