It's only missing the lift mechanism for our 10pt climb.
And our programmer at work!

Don't forget the bumpers and double check the rules to make sure everything is good to go. Might I suggest a cover for all those exposed wires? you wouldn't want to have something get tangled up in that.

I like the simplicity I see here.
I'd recommend walling off the feeding slot of that hopper just a bit more, but i'm sure you guys are planning on that already.
Good luck at competition!
That FTC motor is not legal.

Yup, this is all prototype stuff to prove out our concepts. The final version will be able to adjust the output angle, be made of aluminum, and follow all the rules. This robot is going to be used during stop build for fine tuning the autonomous and practicing our driving/shooting.

It's awesome to see robots this far along already. I think the robot in 3 days project has been a huge success for giving teams ideas they can immediately use & improve upon throughout the year.
Side note - Is anyone affiliated with this team affiliated with the original Team 64 Gila Monsters? I will still never forget the sound that robot made falling from the bar in 2004 at the Arizona Regional & wondered if video of it exists anywhere?
Edit: Found this guy on youtube: http://youtu.be/zkvEXDmQezU But doesn't seem to have footage from AZ that year in it. Very cool robot from that year.

Yes, Robot in 3 days was very helpful. They're plan was so simple, we almost couldn't get away from it. We originally started with our own designs and ideas about climbing and shooting and we tried all the other methods. We just decided we liked this better.
Technically, we are direct descendants of the Team 64 Gila Monsters. We are still the original sponsor (GM Desert Proving Grounds). There are no official mentors from that era though. So starting in the 2011 season, we were a new team, but they wouldn't let us get our old number as it is retired, unfortunately.
