We're using a CIM for our shooter. Try experimenting with other motors to find one that works for your design.

The team was using the kit wheels, the 8 inch rubbers but we're switching to the Plaction with tread because it's literally burning the plastic off of the frisbees. Hoping the tread will give it some more traction and grip to shoot it. It's also been giving issues of peaking about 5 feet off the ground only 8 feet away then promptly drops. We have the kit motors as well but have been able to test it at different speeds so that's helped a little bit with distance and height.

That sounds like you're spinning the wheel too fast and it's slipping on the discs instead of gripping them. Slowing them down might just result in your frisbees exiting the shooter at a higher speed and flying farther before stalling.

We're using BaneBots orange wheels. I think the 4 7/8 size

Yeah today were going to work on that. It seems like when it's at 50% power it shoots further and doesn't burn as much. I think the main issue is really the board that is helping to guide them. The angle seems to be off.

How are those working for you? We considered but weren't sure how they would work.
