If I was Car Nack, I would predict 13-5. "Over 500 teams will use a 5 gallon bucket as their magazine for the shooter."
-Car Nack has spoken.....:) :) :)

We actually chose pieces of plastic duct taped to the walls of our hopper over the bucket. Works just as well!

NIIICCEE how does it work:)

Just to clarify, we used polycarb and duct tape as a quick fix to solve a jamming problem with the hopper, but we replaced it with .120" aluminum yesterday. This is just our practice robot. :)

Our drivetrain is pretty simple, 4WD with VexPro Versa wheels and AM Supershifters. Personally I highly recommend the Versa wheels, we're very happy so far with the traction and the wieght.

Our shooter uses a 6" KOP wheel as the flywheel, direct drive off a CIM motor, we have an encoder on the top of the shaft to measure RPM.

For the hopper there is a chute on the back that the frisbees are fed into, it works exactly the same as a 5 gallon bucket. Once the frisbees are stacked in the hopper there is an arm powered by an air cylinder that "kicks" the bottom frisbee into the flywheel.

To raise and lower the shooter we're going with an air cylinder to switch between the loading angle and shooting angle. Just keeping it simple for this system. :)

And the climber design is still being worked on :)

This is what it looks like now (http://imgur.com/a/f3X46).

Are you using the camera just to drive, or does it assist in aiming?

It will do both, although I doubt the auto-targeting will be used much once the drive team has got their practice in.

I place my bet on 1,000+ teams :D along with that, I bet there are at least 5,000-10,000+ videos of robots shooting frisbees on youtube by the end of the season. Can you say #globalrobotdomination? :D
