View Full Version : Suffield Shakedown Webcast
Will there be a webcast of this year's Suffield Shakedown? I didn't see a link for one on the Gaelhawks website.

Team 230 will be web casting again this year from the Shakedown.

Same link as last year then?
I found 230's ustream page http://www.ustream.tv/channel/first-robotics-team230
Does anyone know if this is what they will use for the shakedown?

Unfortunately, I can't answer the question related to the specific address for the webcast, but I can confirm that Team 230 will be webcasting the scrimmage and the appropriate link will be posted on our website sometime before then. Sorry for the delay :) This is of course barring any weather-related issues that might arise. :(
Is the webcast (http://www.shsrobotics.org/webcast.html) link for today's event or is that left over from another event?
Going off Aces high's website (http://aceshigh176.org/) it says the webcast will be here: http://www.shsrobotics.org/webcast.html
So it looks like the correct url
Does anyone have a team list?

Here looks to be a team list: http://aceshigh176.org/ss-scrimmage?start=1
Hopefully they can arrange better camera positions for the Regionals. The netting in front of the camera is annoying.

It's practice matches. I don't think anyone is currently manning the cameras at the moment.

Hopefully from higher, wider angles of the field it won't be that noticeable...also maybe at venues that have the net farther away from the field border they'll be able to squeeze cameras out of the net.
I wish they keep people from in front of the camera so we can see the webcast.

What a world it would be.
Team 3266 is watching the webcast while we work! It's a pretty great motivator.
ninja-edit: also, when they're about to make shots! 177 made a few 3-pointers just as they panned away.

I have this on a big screen next to our build room.
I just want to mention I hate Ustream and their random ill-timed commercials.

Did anyone get a chance to see if Team 88 was hanging?

Congrats on the win 2067, 2168, and 2836! The finals were excellent.
I caught a few of the later matches...anyone know if the webcast was recorded, and where I could watch those records?

And dang. I was the coach that voted to call off our attendance at The Shakedown last night. You wouldn't believe how haywire things were at the last minute.
Wait a minute, it's always like that...

Same here, I only got to see the beginning before I had to get to work building. Will there be a video of the webcast or at least the results posted somewhere?

Red Alliance FIRST (http://www.facebook.com/RedAlliance?fref=ts) has some archives.
You will have to contact team 230, the Gaelhawks for the recorded question. I agree the camera angles weren't perfect, but we have limited space & the netting did make an impact on camera location. Most venues have cameras up high & more room to maneuver .
We captured a few matches from the stream, if people want to watch. http://www.youtube.com/user/stuy694?feature=g-high-u
