Are Double A batteries legal for the NXT in FTC

We are a rookie FTC team. We have been using AA batteries in our NXT but a friend from a different team told us that he thinks these are not legal for the tournaments. Yikes! Our first tournament is in 7 days! Does anyone one know if they are legal are not?! I've read the game manual, but can't find a reference to AA.

Any input is greatly appreciated. We are in panic mode!

If you look at page 19 in the Game manual part 1 is says that you are allowed to use either double a batteries or a rechargeable pack.
