This is awesome, too bad you couldn't get it on your bot. It would be insane if you could actually climb that fast as well with a fully loaded robot attached to it.

This is an amazing design. ;)
Holy...that's fantastic. Crazy fast. What else does your robot have on it that caused it to be overweight?

If geared correctly, something close to this design should be as quick as made possible with the motor allowances...

Yes, you are correct. I was more commenting on them not being able to get it on their robot than the feasibility of the design.
That is so ingenious! Please take it to your regional and show it off even if it is not mounted on your robot. It is so cool that more people should be able to see it. Of course, make a video and post it too.

For the test we used a hole haug drill 350 rpms, our robot had two CIM'S about 100 rpm's. our robot design was tall with limited physical size and weight room.

Wish I had time to reassemble it. It would not take long, Maybe I will take it to Grand Blanc District, and there is a video http://youtu.be/C_DjsSfcjF4
Yes, I saw the video in your first post. My boys thougt it was well worth getting out of bed to watch it. I was hoping that you could make one of it climbing further on a real pyramid.
