Team 399 is happy to announce that RoboProm 2013 has been scheduled! RoboProm is a dance put together by members of Team 399 for the FIRST Community at Championships.

Who: The FIRST 1500 to purchase tickets
Where: Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, RoboProm Grand Ballroom, 315 Chestnut Street, St. Louis, MO
When: Thursday April 25, 2012 from 8:00 – Midnight

Price: $17 pre-sale via our website (http://www.team399.org/roboprom-2013) until 4/18 and $20 at the door
Mentors and Advisors Chaperoning: Admittance is FREE
Dress: Most people go semi-formal but we always love to see costumes!

Not that I have an issue with loud music... its just that I am going to Championship alone as a volunteer and would love an opportunity to socialize with other FIRST robotics people. This seems like a possible opportunity to do so, but if its the kind of event where its just fun with no dialogue, it would probably be hard to socialize.

The main event of RoboProm is the dance floor and that does get loud, but we do have tables off to the side where people sit and chat and help themselves to our refreshments. If you find the dance room a bit too loud we do have another room available that people decide to hang out in that is a lot quieter.

Very excited to announce that 399 has once again given me the distinct honor of handing out RoboProm King and Queen - so I'll be there!

I'm not sure yet how the titles will be decided - we're working on that now - but we'll make sure to let you know!

399 will not be selling tickets in the pit this year. We will have tickets available in the courtyard with the FIRST banner where we will be distributing tickets on Wednesday and Thursday. We will update you all when more details regarding ticket distribution are finalized.

You can still make individual purchases through our website (http://www.team399.org/roboprom-2013). We ask for team number because it will make ticket distribution easier if they are organized by number and an email address so we can send you any future RoboProm updates.

The doors will never "close". As long as you show up with your ticket, you will be allowed in.

Team 399 is actually staying at the Hyatt and we will be walking to and from Edward Jones Dome everyday of championships. It's about a 10 minute walk and Grim Tuesday has an awesome map posted above

We will be selling tickets on Wednesday in the courtyard with the FIRST banner or HERE (http://www.team399.org/roboprom-2013) for a limited time. I'm not really too sure how else to describe its location but you cannot miss it, it is where all the teams attending CMP get their picture taken.

Hey Dave! The teams listed in that post are not totally up to date. All purchases go directly to the school accountant and then she forwards them along to us and she has been out a couple days. I will post an updated list monday evening and PM you if I see that 1071 isn't on it.

Okay Dokie so we've finally got all our ticket sales tallied up and I'm here to give you the breakdown!

This year has been our most successful year yet regarding pre-sales. We have sold 1329 of the 1500 available, this is a little over 2 1/2 times more than last year.

We have 109 teams joining from both FRC and FTC, even some event Volunteers who make CMP totally awesome. You can check out all the teams below.

I'd also like to remind everyone that bought tickets that your ticket pick up time has been sent out or will be sent out tonight so please check your email tomorrow morning and if you have any issues with your scheduled time, send us an email and we will work things out.

A tiny thing that was slipped into the email but may go unnoticed is a request NOT to bring latex to RoboProm. This is most common in balloons and we typically don't have issues, but we do have people with allergies and ask that you let them enjoy a latex-free RoboProm.
