Its a little difficult. The "L" would be a little hard to understand what it is from a non-FIRSTer standpoint. And I think it's really cool that the "E" looks exactly like our robot. :D

Maybe if the minibot was a different color than the pole it would be better. If you do that, I say submit it.

Looks good, I agree that you should change thin mini bot color, just so it stands out a little bit more.

Just noticed, but if that is the 1592/801 robot for the "E", you have the raise/lower arm reversed. It should angle in.

The triangle and the square are the "oo" but it's the FIRST logo. Google has done stuff like this before when it adds more than what is really there.

Yes, your point is true, yet Google has had some Doodles show up on their homepage before that were so confusing you had to check the url bar to make sure you typed the address correctly.
