Everyone thanks the volunteers, but as a volunteer who was volunteering for my first time at Championship, I think a huge mention goes to the people that organize all of the volunteers and make it a great event for them.
Volunteering at Championship far exceeded my expectations and this was all thanks to the people at FIRST who planned the event, arranged pre-event orientation for volunteers such as myself who could not make the on site one, all the goodies that I could show off to my friends at home, generous lunches, massages, a quiet room to escape the noise, etc. Everything and more was thought of to make the long work day easier for us.
I also wanted to specifically thank the Volunteer Coordinators. A few minutes after arriving and wandering lost on my way to my position I was approached and directed to where I was supposed to work. The coordinators also checked on me regularly and made sure I had enough to drink and that I was doing alright.
The opportunity to volunteer on Einstein has made this a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life, and it is in large part thanks to these individuals.
