I'm doing Archimedes tonight @ 7. Just give me an update on the standings so I can start setting up the draft.

I can wait as late as 6:30 pm and then I have to use what is available to me to make the draft.

The most updated standings we have can be found here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sku7Yu2eFLyOh45RdHZybyhwt-e1K7Updq332sGR7hg/edit#gid=0). Up to week 4 is now scored, but as for week 5/6 and two district champs, not much else... I don't really have any time to score (due to getting ready with my team) hopefully the others will be able to finish it off. I can keep the standings up to date though.

So this is mostly for Brennan, but could be for anyone else too I suppose. I took the time to finish up the Week 5 events (North Star, Long Island and Pittsburgh), but I need one of the scorers to add them to the ranking spreadsheet as well as update the individual threads. If I find the time, I might help out with the rest of week 5 events as well.

I think I'll go out on a limb and say Automated Scoring won without even bother to score the results yet. They have the world champion and the National Chairman's winner. Unless they picked total duds the rest of the drafts they pretty much have it sewn up with those two!

All I know on the winner is, ain't me. I've got 166 total points by my reckoning, across all 4 divisions.

I got a couple of studs because people didn't bother showing up for the drafts but I did myself in by screwing around and picking my own team who had an awful weekend.

I need Brennan to be on, but if we want to finish scoring in order to determine award winners (Elgin Clock, MVP, Rookie, etc.) we'll need to either delete some stuff in the current spreadsheet or make a new sheet, because the current one is nearing Google's capacity limits.

Speaking of which, Ed, which players (specifically) are eligible for the FF Rookie of the Year award?

None.

FF Rookie of the Year: Given to the rookie team who scores the highest number of FF points at an event during the FF regular season.

Rookie team, not rookie player. I've been working on revising the rules a bit for next year to make the distinction clearer, but a "player" is defined as any group of FF participants, while "team" is any FRC team that plays the game.

Or, to look at it another way: Any FRC team with a number higher than 4899 is eligible for the Rookie of the Year, provided they score a lot of FF points.

Guess then MVP would apply to that as well.

So then....what is the point of awarding a Fantasy FIRST award to an FRC team? Seems the league is for the players who participate in it, not the teams that it is about.

It's a way of recognizing the best picks, one rookie and one "whoever".

Yeah, that can be fixed, it's cause the original template had 1000 rows, so most of the events have a ton of blank rows. We should have champs scored today.

Just to check something: You did use the championship awards points, right? I think I'm missing about 10-20 points (depending on if the overall Media award is counted as non-robot or not at all--1538), thinking some of 'em are in awards adjustments.

No, I never noticed that actually. I don't have access to the scoring spreadsheet right now, but I'll get to the changes as soon as possible. That award is a 10-point award, right?

I forgot about Dean's list too also, it seems. I'll make those changes ASAP.

I don't think we ever looked at that one, but Website (which it replaced) was counted as non-robot. Some of the other points might be from the change to the divisional elimination point values.

From the rules, the scoring changes are as follows:
For the Championships, scoring changes to:
Quarter finalists – Division, 5 points
Semifinalists – Division, 10 points
Finalists – Division, 15 points
Divisional Winners, 25 points
Finalists - Einstein Field, 40 points
Winners - Einstein Field, 50 points

Chairman’s – Championship, 80 points
Engineering Inspiration Award – Championship, 45 points
Rookie All-Star, 25 points
Rookie Inspiration, 20 points
Woodie Flowers/Judges, 15 points
Dean’s List, 8 points

Highest score / Highest Rookie Seed, 10 points
Robot based award, 25 points
Non-placement award, except previously mentioned, 10 points
(W-L-T and seeding are not affected, BTW.)

No need to worry. The first thing I did when I went in after CMP was put in all the Dean's List winners. That should've been indicated by a few number of picks being preliminarily scored.

EDIT: I know Curie and Galileo are scored with the CMP points cause I did those myself (even added the CMP template page *hint hint*). I didn't do the Archi and Newton awards at that time since they were not yet showing from the event page.

Thank you! I checked to make sure all the Dean's List winners were in there and they all are.

I added in 1538's Make It Loud award points, and that's an additional 10 points for Falcon, making it 158 now. All scoring I did were by the criteria Eric posted, so there shouldn't be any major mistakes.
