Wiring the actuator

Has anyone figured out how to electronically hook up the actuator to power supply and robot controller? Are there connectors for this or do we need to make them?

Use a servo cable. The female end of the cable fits the connector on the Belimo motor just fine. Cut the male end off, strip the wire and connect to the appropriate output device (spike or victor). Note that the motor only requires two of the three conductors.

The 1st & 2nd pins (starting from the left side of the connector on the actuator) are the ony two pins that you need to worry about. My actuator has a little motor symbol drawn above the connector at pins 1 & 2.

For prototyping purposes, an inexpensive way is to use a modified integrated circuit socket - just cut off the extra positions. These are available at Radio Shack.
