So as you can see here (http://i.imgur.com/Jww3Zr2.png) I am completely finished with the spotlight video for team 148 The Robowranglers. I'm having difficulties rendering it right now but I'll have it up as soon as possible. I'll add it here once it's actually up.
In the meantime, Team 148 is an FRC team that in recent years has been on a major spree of success. They are regulars to the idea of being consistently competitive in their divisions; where most teams decide they are content with their season. The Robowranglers are the type of team that you'd see on the powerhouse alliance with their sleek black robots, that dominate a match before the other alliance figures out their strategy, and is to a degree, actually in control of their rank at championships.

Not to mention if there was a ranking for Coopertition, they would win worlds every year.
We compete with (and lose to) them all the time and have seen them in many, many competitions, as we are only based 10 miles apart.
If you go to a regional they are at, you cannot help but see their team crawling around the pit, and sometimes swarming a team who can't get their robot running.
We hear people sometimes criticize team 148 as being selfish, but we as a team always defend them. While there robot is always better than everybody else's, and way cooler too, there are not a whole lot of teams more devoted to ensuring everyone at the regional is up and running.
Last year at the Dallas regional, among other international teams, was a team from Brazil (team 1801). They could not ship their batteries into the USA, so 148 graciously lent them enough batteries for the weekend.
I remember they spent all of Dallas 2012 slowly chopping away at a rookie kitbot until it was super tiny, so to make them as an appealing 2nd pick, all while keeping it operational enough to never miss a match.
I don't know how much you covered the gracious professionalism the RoboWranglers exhibit, but I will testify that most definitely are.

At the 2011 Dallas Regional, 148 provided us with great assistance when our robot wasn't working.
Texas teams like 148, 57, 1477, 3847, 624, 118, and others (I know there are too many to list) are always trying to get as many malfunctioning robots to their full potential as possible.
It's an awesome thing to have at regionals down here.

Hey, I think the team you're referring to that's from Brazil is 1860. 1801 is The Dapper Dans. :]

Now that they have Aren Hill on board as a mentor, I can't wait to see what amazing things will come out of their team! I'm sure he'll encourage even more gracious professionalism.

Once again, great video. However 148 was actually the offensive powerhouse on our curie-winning alliance, they scored 40/45 discs from the feeder station in one match, we were there just to clean up the floor, not to mention 862 who also played some great impromptu offense.

We were scoring most of the points when 148 was having trouble with their shots getting blocked. When they weren't being defended though they scored way more points.

I remember you guys from last year, you were awesome! You're ranking was definitely justified.
