This is going to make for a fun game next year. Let the analysis begin.

To mark as spam...... or not, that is the question.

Original.

Let me guess, water game?

Wow, I can't believe they're using the same hint two years in a row.

I am sure they will continue to use this hint for many more years ;)

Yes indeed.

Ah well, I guess we all go through that phase...

I laughed the first time you did this...

But I didn't come anywhere near laughing this time. Twice from the same person is excessive. You are not trying to be funny any more, you are solely trying to waste people's time and apparently taking pleasure in it.

Jeez. Why does it sound like I'm repeating myself?

I find it amusing how worked up people can get over silly game hint jokes.

Nice try OP, but they're more enjoyable when your thread is something like this:

I'm really not sure what to make of this.

Why call it game hint 2? And what do the little red boxes represent?

haha, nice, but this thread is good. It's time we start playing a little tickle with FIRST until they give us those hints.

It's time we start playing a little tickle with FIRST until they give us those hints.

I have a couple of comments.

First, someone check to make sure Dragonking isn't Greg Needel. (For you newbies, on multiple occasions, Greg pulled the old "Made ya look!" routine.)

Second, one year caroling for hints seemed to work. I suggest sending 1114--all of them--to NH to sing to them until a hint is released. (The best way to beat them is to include singing well as part of the game... let's just leave it at that.)

Third...

Don't you all have homework or studying for finals or Christmas shopping or work to do? You only have a month until Kickoff. Go! Get outside! Get off my lawn! Enjoy the outdoors before Kickoff! Stop waiting for the hints! [/geezer]

Even more so, if you get elaborate with the details :)

Well, if there was a thread I felt was not funny and I wanted to kill it, then I would not comment on it since that keeps the thread alive. At least that is what I would do if I came upon such a thread.

CLEARLY that means the game is snow-themed

Maybe there will be an interesting use for that snow blower motor (http://www.firstchoicebyandymark.com/en/fc14-067) after all?

I don't know about that, but you can never count out the IR blaster (http://www.firstchoicebyandymark.com/en/fc14-004) as a hint :D

"Who's on FIRST"

Dr. Who reference. The old baseball comedy routine. Use wiffle balls to hit strike zones. Enough said.

Or it could always be a water game. I've heard that gunnite manufacturers were ramping up production..... during the winter.

This actually is one of the better theories I've seen.

Where'd the Who's on FIRST clue come from?

This FRC blog post (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2014-Administrative-Manual-Sections-1-5-and-Something-New) references Dr. Who, so Who + FIRST = comedy sketch = the baseball ideas that have been floating about.

Yesterday the frc blocg mentioned a hat-trick and no one has jumped on it?!?!

They also said, " three Strikes" earlier and no one jumped on that either.

This is turning into a Snipe hunt.

And then today their blog post had a lot of unnecessary wording as well.

http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/blog-Awards-Section-of-FRC-Administrative-Manual-Posted

"...One thing you will not see in the award section is the return of the 3D Design and Animation award. I haven’t given up on this yet, but we are running out of time to put this in place for the 2014 season. This sounds like it should be a simple thing, but every award has lots of moving parts that need to work together. I’ll let you know one way or the other when the decision on this award is finalized..."

I mean that's the case with EVERY competition.

Here's what we have so far:

Blog Post from Nov 26.
http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2014-Administrative-Manual-Sections-1-5-and-Something-New

"*SPOILER ALERT. If you can’t wait, I’ll tell you the end. Tom Baker makes an appearance as the museum curator."

Dr. Who reference; Who + FIRST = Who's on First

Guess: Baseball

Blog Post from December 16.
http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/blog-FIRST-Choice-Opening-Postponed-Part-2

"Our apologies for the two strikes this weekend, we promise our next swing will be a home run."

Guess: Baseball

Blog Post from December 18.
http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/blog-FIRST-Choice-Progress

"...AndyMark has been restructuring the FIRST Choice site to one that can meet their standards, our standards, and your standards. That, to us, would be the hat trick."

Guess: Hockey

Also, did anyone have any speculation as to why the photo from the Nov 25 blog showed the water bottles? They seemed so arbitrarily yet intentionally placed.

But baseball also has hat tricks. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat-trick#Baseball)

The 2014 game, kickball. It's like breakaway, with lighter balls, and higher goals.

</rumor and hearsay>

They're placed where they are because Woodie prefers to just reach down and grab his water bottle, probably to drink while the camera is actually rolling because he likes to drink water. Dean and Frank have their water bottles there because they don't expect to need the water/expect to walk around and don't want to kick the water bottles over.

Maybe it's some kind of scoring in three general matches? By now I cannot guess any game in which players are able to score such an amount of points...

found out that 8234/57 = 144.4561404... which google brought up to be the hex code of green.
also - 61126/1963 = 31.13907285... which is the hex code of green, same method.

Why don't we keep all ACTUAL 2014 Game Hint Discussion on the ACTUAL 2014 Game Hint Thread (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=123456) ;)

Mods, this thread could probably be closed.
