IN Appendix C of the hardware list it states we can use angle aluminum and extruded aluminum. What is the difference? Can we use the aluminum angle up to 2x2 and extruded aluminum angle up to 2x3?

Some aluminum shapes are extruded (remember the Playdoh Factory?) like architectural angle/channel/tube or the Small Parts Bosch extrusions. Some are roll-formed, like structural angle, which the add'l hrdwre list refers to. Metal, like wood has a grain, and rolling a shape orients this grain axially for sectional strength. Hence, the "structural" label.
Yes and yes to the second question's cross-sections.
