We're pleased to announce that we are now taking orders for our newest chassis system, SimpleTube.

The chassis comes in 8wd and 6wd. It features "chain-in-the-tube" construction and Colson Performa wheels.

The prototype for this chassis was battle tested by FRC118-Robonauts during the 2013 FRC season.

The chassis offers some great volume and weight savings and is very simple to maintain since there are no tensioners or exposed chain runs.

Like all of our mobile robotics hardware, these high quality components are manufactured exclusively in the USA!

Enjoy. And good luck tomorrow afternoon.

I like the space saving design, i designed a frame just like this but with belts this off season.
Can this be ordered with different frame dimensions?

Love the products. They really are simple.

Curious...why go with keyed sprockets and shafts instead of hex? Was it to minimize the amount of hex bearings needed?

Exactly. Hex bearings can be expensive and are usually scarce mid-season.

Also, sizing hex shafts to fit the bearings can be tricky in large quantities.
