The New cRIO Modules on Andymark

I was looking through andymark and I found cRIO modules with what looked like black terminals instead of a breakout. They appear to be the same module, but with a different IO.

Does anybody know the difference between these and the standard solenoid/analog breakouts?

Different IO would make them different modules. :) Which they are. One is an analog input, the other an digital output. Looks like they have an adapter that you would take off to user the First bumper.

185 is the Analog INPUT module, it measures analog voltage signals. It can be used to measure the voltage across a pot when the pot is used for position sensing.

184 is an OUTPUT module, it sends a signal or voltage out. In FRC, its used to energize pneumatics solenoids.

What I think he meant is, why are the IO pins no longer PWM style so to speak.
But to answer your question, as far as functionality goes, no they are not any different. They are the same as the ones that you are used to. The only difference is that the connection type has been changed.

The photos are the generic NI photo (with screw terminal). They explicitly state D-SUB connector in the description on AndyMark. This is no different than in previous years.

The photos show the "Optional" terminal block that is available from NI.
