When we download the 2014 NI update and try to extract it, a window pops up saying that "this file is password protected" and prompting for a password.
We've tried this on two computers and using both the downloaders on the NI site. What are we missing?

Sounds like you're missing the password. It is 3Zones2Goals1Alliance!

That's facetious, right? In any case, we tried that, and it didn't work. :(

That is the password that worked for me. What program are you using to extract the zip?

I was just using the built in extractor in windows explorer.

I've had no problems using the Windows zip extractor on multiple Windows 7 computers. Are you sure you're typing the password correctly?
Might be a silly question.... You are trying to extract the zipfiles & not running the setup file from inside the zipped folder?

RufflesRidge wasn't just being enthusiastic. The exclamation point is part of the password.
If you downloaded the update from the only official place, https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-34731, the password is printed in obvious red text immediately adjacent to the download link.

I am having trouble downloading the file from National Instruments through the link from FIRST. Would anyone be able to share the file with us? Our robot cannot run without a thether until we get this update.

Did you login to NI?
