How thick can the aluminum plate be? And Can we use Diamond-plate Aluminum?

I believe the additional hardware list states that
aluminum up to 1/4 inch thick is unlimited, otherwise
you have to buy it from Small Parts Inc.

As to whether diamond plate is allowed, I suppose yes
since perf sheet is allowed. Better ask FIRST though.
