After 10 years of accelerating around the sun 5 times and heading into deep space to rendezvous with a comet, the Rosetta spacecraft needs to “wake up” to begin preparations for a soft landing (the first spacecraft to do so).
To highlight this milestone, the European Space Agency is sponsoring a “Wake up Rosetta” video contest. The winning videos (by vote) will get cool prizes from the ESA and possibly even a trip to their Space Operations Centre in Darmstad Germany.
For our video we attached an SD card to a Frisbee and used our 2013 Ultimate Ascent robot to send our wake-up shout to Rosetta.
Please follow this link, scroll down and vote for our video. Thanks! :D
